The Deadwater Valley
The Deadwater Valley Trust is an environmental charity that manages an area of woodland, heathland, ancient meadow and a scheduled ancient monument on behalf of Whitehill Town Council who own or lease the land.
A system of footpaths serve the area allowing visitors to explore along the River deadwater, the beautiful Knox`s Pond or enjoy a view from the Walldown over the woodland of three counties. The paths can be joined from a car park which lies off Conde Way, the road that runs east from the Jet Station roundabout on the A325.
Newcomers may choose to join one of the regular guided walks as an introduction to the area and it`s fascinating wildlife. The Trust employs a Countryside Ranger who manages the site while providing a visitor and education service.
